Calrad's 40-284A is a simple solution for converting HDMI signals to VGA video & audio. It is a perfect solution for connecting video cards [desktop or laptop] or consumer electronics devices such as game consoles or home theater receivers that offer an HDMI Out port to a VGA display. The HDMI to VGA video & audio is a Plug-N-Play video converter that automatically provides instant decoding of the HDMI signals to VGA video & audio signals to facilitate the viewing of HDTV video content on televisions, projectors, RF modulators or other devices that do not have HDMI inputs. Power is supplied by the HDMI Source.

The Calrad 40-HDMI-EXT-A provides a simple method for extracting digital or analog audio from a single HDMI source at up to resolutions of 4Kx2K@60Hz. Outputs for Analog (L+R) analog, Digital optical Toslink + Coaxial audio signals. Supports (ARC) function, decodes to Toslink\Digital Coaxial outputs only. A three position slide switch and push button are provided for selecting audio functions and audio output formats. This unit supports (Non-Volatile Memory) if power is lost or removed the unit will maintain all settings.
