Global Specialties GSK-26 one-way fiber optic audio link kit allows the user to send sound through a 1mm "plastic" fiber optic cable. The kit includes 2 printed circuit boards, one for transmit and one for receive. The GSK-26's transmit circuit includes a microphone and a circuit to modulate the light emitted from an LED. The LED is contained in a plastic case that allows easy connection of the fiber optic cable. The receiver circuit includes a photo-optic receiver, an amplifier and a speaker. The GSK-26 is perfect for learning the operation of a fiber-optic communication link. Components and instruction manual included.
