Use the Calrad 10-106 adapter to convert a speaker-level signal to a line-level signal. It's perfect for sending the amplified output of a multi-room audio system to a more powerful amplifier, or adding a second amp to power more speakers. The adapter features a four-conductor terminal block for left + right speaker wire inputs and female RCA stereo left + right output jacks. Setup: (Output with no speakers used from amplifier) The output level from the amplifier should be set at minimum level setting first to avoid over driving the 10-106 converter, this will also prevent the amplifier from pushing out more wattage then needed. Next adjust the 10-106 gain controls to achieve the desired signal conversion to line level. Setup: (Output with speakers used from amplifier, 10-106 parallel speaker connection) The output of the amplifier should be set at the normal output setting that will be used on a regular basis, then adjust the 10-106 gain controls to achieve the desired signal conversion to line level. Note! That any significant change in the amplifier signal output will have a direct effect and change in he signal output of the 10-106 converter that could result in a distorted line level output.
